Where this project is

This project's exact location has not been surveyed yet; it is shown approximately within its neighbourhood.

Every home a story, every street a museum.

Tatlısu's true story lives not only in its buildings, but in the people who lived in those homes.

We will pass on to the future the memories of our people who built their homes here after 1974, raised their children, worked the land, produced, and carried Tatlısu to the present day.

We will tell the story of our people.

We will preserve their voices.

We will keep their memory alive.

We will showcase our nature.

We will turn our culture into economic value.

EVERY HOME A STORY

Who once lived in these homes?

With the participation of the families, we will place QR Memory Codes at the entrances of suitable homes in the main residential area.

When you hold your phone up to the QR code, a life story of about one minute will open.

Old photographs...

Family footage...

Memories...

And, where they exist, their own voices...

The people who once lived in that home will tell their own story once again.

Not just a QR code — a door opening onto a memory.

Every Street a Museum

We will transform Tatlısu's streets into an open-air digital museum.

In one home, a family...

On the next street, another of our elders...

At another spot, you will discover the Tatlısu of old.

They lived on these streets.

Their voices will live on these streets once again.

A voice we record today can be listened to years later by a grandchild, standing in front of the house where their grandfather or grandmother lived.

We will use technology not to make us forget our past, but to keep our past alive.

Culture and Memory Museum

Every object has an owner, and every owner has a story.

The story that begins in the streets will continue at the Tatlısu Culture and Memory Museum.

Left to us by our elders;

  • photographs,
  • documents,
  • farming tools,
  • handicrafts,
  • household items,
  • letters

and family keepsakes will be preserved here.

But we will not merely display the objects.

Who did it belong to?

What kind of life did they live?

What did they leave to Tatlısu?

We will tell that story too.

Visitors who scan the QR code will be able to reach the story of the object's owner.

The object will be displayed; the person will never be forgotten.

Tatlısu Scent Museum

You will not only see Tatlısu — you will remember it by its scent.

Our memory does not live in people alone.

It is also held in our soil, our sea, our olives, our carobs, our flowers and our wild plants.

With the Scent Museum and a natural aroma garden, we will turn Tatlısu's nature into a distinctive experience.

Visitors will see the plant, breathe in its scent, and learn its story.

Tatlısu's scent will become our brand too.

The Tatlısu Sea Museum and Boutique Café

The historic church by the harbour will become home to the memory of the sea.

We will restore the historic church building by the harbour, leaving its original architecture untouched, and turn it into the Tatlısu Sea Museum.

Fishing equipment, nets, boat models, maritime photographs, the ancient traces along our shore and the story of Tatlısu's bond with the sea will all be gathered here.

One part of the museum will house a boutique café looking out over the sea. Visitors will tour the museum, then sit under the same roof with a coffee made from our local products and watch the harbour and the sea.

Within this project we will deliver;

  • restoration of the historic building in its original architecture,
  • a maritime and fishing collection,
  • QR-coded stories of our sailors and fishermen,
  • a boutique café overlooking the sea,
  • a small retail corner offering our local products,

as part of the same scheme.

Not a building left empty, but a living museum and meeting place.

FROM STORY TO ECONOMY

While protecting our past, we will add value to our future.

At the end of this journey will stand the Tatlısu Local Products Sales Centre.

From our olive and carob products to aromatic goods, from the handiwork of our women to local foods and designs unique to Tatlısu, we will bring our products together with visitors.

The museum will draw visitors.

Our local products will become known.

Our women will produce.

Our producers will earn.

Our shopkeepers will see new life.

We will not merely preserve our culture; we will turn it into a force that creates value for Tatlısu.

ONE VILLAGE, THOUSANDS OF STORIES

The QR Memory Homes will tell the story of our people.

Our streets will keep memory alive.

Our museum will preserve our keepsakes.

Our Scent Museum will let you feel our nature.

Our Local Products Centre will turn our labour into income.

Those who come to Tatlısu will no longer see only our town centre.

They will get to know our people.

They will listen to our story.

They will feel our nature.

They will taste our products.

They will remember Tatlısu.

EVERY HOME A STORY.

Every Street a Memory

Every Person a Treasure

Their voices will live in our streets, their keepsakes in our museum, and our scent and our story in our future.
