Today I feel the excitement and pride of standing in front of Tatlısu Primary School, where I received my first education and learned to read and write.
At these desks I too had childhood dreams. My teachers' labour, my friendships and the values I gained here formed the foundation of my education and of where I stand today.
Now our children walk through the same gate, hope and excitement in their eyes. Each one of them is Tatlısu's tomorrow, its most precious value and our greatest responsibility.
Our understanding of education will not be limited to meeting the physical needs of school buildings. We want to create opportunities where our children can discover their talents and grow through science, technology, art, culture and sport. The Tatlısu Future and Life Centre we have prepared for this purpose will support our schools' educational work and prepare our children and youth for the future better equipped.
Because we know that a town's future is only as strong as the opportunities it offers its children. As a Tatlısu native who was once a student of this school, my greatest wish today is to build a Tatlısu where our children can reach their dreams and feel safe and valued.
I wish our dear students success and good friendships in the 2026–2027 school year; ease to our devoted teachers, and happiness to our precious families.
My dreams once began at this school. Now it is time to carry our children's dreams into the future… May our new school year be blessed.
