Core Vision

A Tatlısu guided by knowledge and governed with collective wisdom — one that produces, trusts its youth, supports its women, protects its nature and plans its future.
— Doç. Dr. Muharrem Özdemir, Core Vision
To the people of Tatlısu

My Letter

This letter is the heart of the campaign — before the projects, the intention itself.

Dear people of Tatlısu;

For me, Tatlısu is far more than the name of a municipality.

It is my childhood. It is where I first went to school. It is my memories. It is my friendships. In short, it is my home.

I grew up on this land. I walked these roads. I know the labor of our elders, the sweat of our producers, the struggle of our shopkeepers, the expectations of our workers, and the dreams of our young people. Now, I believe it is time to repay our debt to Tatlısu — by working, by producing, and by planning its future. I am seeking this office not to change everything, but to protect what is beautiful, to complete what is missing, and to bring Tatlısu the innovations we need.

We will protect what exists.

We will complete what is missing.

We will fix what is wrong.

And what does not yet exist, we will build with vision, with projects, and with the right resources.

We will invest not in show, but in services that touch our people's lives. We will deliver not the cheapest work, but quality at a fair price. We will spend the municipality's money more carefully than our own — yet we will never limit Tatlısu's dreams to the confines of the municipal budget. We will develop projects. We will find resources. We will knock on doors. We will bring new opportunities to Tatlısu. Because for us, municipal service is not just roads, water, and sanitation.

For us, municipal service is first and foremost about PEOPLE. It is knocking on our elders' doors.

It is discovering our children's talents.

It is opening the way for our young people's dreams.

It is supporting our women in what they create and produce.

It is adding value to the sweat of our farmers.

It is putting a smile on the faces of our shopkeepers.

It is standing up for the labor of our workers. It is making our town of Tatlısu visible to the world.

There is a place for everyone in this story.

With the Loyalty Project, we will stand by our elders. With the Children and Youth Academy, we will open a door for every child's talent. With its Sports and Youth Complex, Sports Academy, culture and arts spaces, and indoor multi-purpose hall, we will transform the Tatlısu Life Campus into a living center where our young people, our children, and our families come together. We will not simply tell our producers, "Produce more"; we will ask, "How can you earn more from what you produce?" With the "Tatlısu Produces" approach, we will turn our local products into a brand, and our brand into economic value. Our women will produce, and our young people will light new torches with their entrepreneurial ideas. We will make the municipality not merely a place that promises everyone a job, but a force that leads the way in creating jobs and business opportunities. We will see our shopkeepers not merely as people who pay taxes and fees, but as partners in Tatlısu's development. Because we want this: money earned in Tatlısu should, as far as possible, stay in Tatlısu.

We will protect our 22 kilometers of coastline with the Blue Corridor approach. We will earn from our nature without consuming it. And we will turn our past into the strength of our future. Under the banner of Every Home a Story, Every Street a Museum, we will keep the voices, faces, and memories of our elders alive in the streets where they lived. With the Culture and Memory Museum, the QR Memory Route, and the Scent Museum, we will carry Tatlısu's people, culture, and nature into the future. We will hold our festivals not for one-night crowds, but for a Tatlısu that is visited — and prospers — in all four seasons. Visitors will come and stay; our producers, our shopkeepers, and Tatlısu will win. We will not leave the Zambak Holiday Village idle. We will protect what exists, renew what has aged, and transform it into a facility that generates value all year round. We will look after our nature, our coastline, and our animal companions. We will create spaces where our families can breathe and our children can gather beautiful memories. We will protect Tatlısu's natural beauty while making it visible. And we will tell the world about all of Tatlısu's treasures. We will showcase not the Mayor, but Tatlısu. On the screen will be our farmers, our shopkeepers, our youth, our athletes, our women entrepreneurs, our elders, our sea, our nature, and our story. And as we do all of this, we will leave no one out. Long-time residents and newcomers, young and old, women and men, workers and producers — together, we will all say Tatlısu. And we will not listen to you only at election time. We will govern not from an office, but from the field. We will talk in the coffeehouse. And on the street. In our shopkeepers' stores and in our producers' fields… Sometimes we will not think alike. But we will always listen to one another. Because what matters to me is not who an idea comes from, but whether it is right for Tatlısu. This will be not the mayor's municipality, but the people's municipality.

I know this land.

I trust our people.

I believe in our children, in our young people, and in the strength of Tatlısu.

But knowing Tatlısu is no longer enough.

One must be able to read Tatlısu's future.

We are coming to plan the future, starting today.

We are coming for a Tatlısu that, in four years, changes its course — a Tatlısu that produces, prospers, protects, shares, and fills its people with pride to call it home.

Doç. Dr. Muharrem ÖzdemirUBP Candidate for Mayor of Tatlısu
And now, as we close this book…

We did not merely present projects; we described the Tatlısu we dream of

Protecting what existsCompleting what is missingBuilding what is absent with reason and the right resourcesGiving every child a chanceOpening the way for the youngSupporting its womenGrowing the producer's labourStrengthening its tradespeopleHonouring its eldersProtecting its nature, sea and animalsNever forgetting its pastEmbracing the newcomer

…a Tatlısu that leaves no one behind. And above all of this stands a single word:

Together

Because no mayor can change a town alone. But people who believe in one another can change a town's future.

I believe in the people of Tatlısu. I believe in our children and our youth. I believe in our producers, our workers, our women, our elders. And above all — I believe in Tatlısu's future.

A new page now lies before us. Let us write on it not who said what, but what we achieved together. Let us protect what exists, complete what is missing, build what we need together, ease our people's lives and grow Tatlısu's value side by side.

Because the hero of this story is not one person;

It is TatlısuOur land. Our people. Our story. Our future.

TOGETHER WE WILL WRITE TATLISU'S NEW STORY

My approach to governance

Four principles, one direction

Four headings I hope stay with you as you read the letter — they will shape everyday decisions too.

01

Listen First

Before every decision we sit with neighborhoods, tradespeople and volunteers to find the real need.

02

Transparent Governance

We will build a municipality where budgets, tenders and decisions can be tracked from the field.

03

Respect for Nature

We see our coastline, valleys and greenery as a guarantee of the future, not of growth.

04

Together in the Field

Being mayor is not a title — it is an ongoing partnership with the people of Tatlısu.

The rest of this story is yours
